Everyone participates in a project at some point, often without explicitly calling it that. You might think of projects as large infrastructure works, but smaller initiatives – like organising an event or implementing a new working method – are also projects. Every project starts with an idea and ends with a result. Project management makes that journey possible.

Over the years, various methods and models have been developed, each with its own focus and background. Which one best suits you depends on your project, your team, and the context in which you work.

The nestor among working forms, developed in the reconstruction period of the Netherlands. Driven by GOTIK (Money, Organisation, Time, Information, Quality), it provided structure to countless projects and laid the foundations for modern project management.
PRINCE2® v7
Originating from an organisational perspective, focusing on delivering products that contribute to strategic goals. PRINCE2 v7 (2023) adds three new dimensions: People management, sustainability and digital working environment. It provides a process-oriented framework that combines flexibility with control.
PRINCE2 training courses with ProyectoIPMA®
Focused on the individual. IPMA emphasizes personal competencies and leadership, in addition to technical and organisational skills. The ICB4 standard distinguishes three competence domains: People, Perspective, and Practice.
IPMA training at ProyectoPMBoK
A comprehensive standard from the Project Management Institute (PMI) that defines project management as a collection of processes and knowledge areas. PMBoK offers a structured knowledge base, but not a fixed methodology.
Praxis
An integrated approach that combines project, programme, and portfolio management within a single framework. Praxis offers flexibility and scalability and is available as an open-source knowledge base.
Project-based creation
Focused on human relationships within projects. It emphasises collaboration, connection, and engagement, with “I, you, we” at its core. Perfect for projects where innovation and co-creation are crucial.

Agile
Working iteratively and flexibly in short cycles, with continuous feedback and adaptation.
DSDM
Dynamic Systems Development Method — a structured agile approach with fixed time and budget.
XP
Extreme Programming — focused on technical quality and continuous collaboration.
Scrum
The most popular agile framework. Working in sprints with clear roles and ceremonies.
SAFe
Scaled Agile Framework — agile working at organisational level, for large teams and programmes.
