Who am I?

Entrepreneur, trainer, coach

Having grown up in a family of entrepreneurs, I was involved in business from a young age. This led to successes, but also a number of enormous failures. Looking back, the periods when I worked with a group of like-minded people have been the best years of my professional life.

My areas of work in projects have always been diverse: home entertainment, import of audio-visual media, telecommunications, the graphic industry, events, and media.

For the past 17 years, everything has come together by specialising in training in project management methodologies. In the meantime, I've had the privilege of assisting a large number of companies across various industries in professionalising their projects – in commercial, non-profit, (semi)governmental, healthcare, and many other types of organisations.

My background

From PRINCE2 to coaching

Starting with PRINCE2 and Project Management, I soon began to further specialise in IPMA, PMI, Agile Scrum, and other methodologies. The behavioural and leadership aspects in IPMA appealed to me enormously. I delved deeper into this and completed my coach training at the Bold-academy in Bussum in 2018.

My training courses help project team members carry out tasks and assignments, project managers set up, plan and manage projects, and clients steer projects. Through coaching, I help them bridge the gap between theory and practice — because there is often a (healthy) tension between the two.

My training sessions are lively and interactive, and I enjoy conveying complex subjects in a light-hearted and clear manner.

What I do

The combination that suits me best

Coach, mentor, docent and advisor – this can be in both a traditional project environment and an agile environment. The focus is always on people. Methods and techniques are supportive.

🏫 Trainer

Lively, interactive training sessions that convey complex topics in a clear way. Always practice-oriented, never dry theory.

🧠 Coach

Bridging the gap between theory and practice. Supporting, inspiring, and motivating people in an expert and relaxed manner, through connection and purpose.

Advisor

Making complex issues understandable and solutions visible. For me, there's nothing more enjoyable than applying knowledge and experience in an engaging way.

“Every working day is wasted time if we are disconnected from ourselves, our surroundings, or our goals. Give me something fun to do and I'll never work another day in my life.”

From this premise, I give content and form to my work. Authenticity is central – I believe that if you do something you're good at, that makes you happy, and that has meaning, anything is possible.

My vision

People make the difference

The combination of coach, mentor, teacher and advisor suits me best. People are central, with methods and techniques being supportive. For me, there's nothing more enjoyable than using my knowledge and experience to make challenges understandable in an engaging way and to make solutions visible.

This can be done in either a traditional project environment or an agile environment. The context determines the approach – the focus on people always remains the same.
