The IPMA C certification is intended for project managers with extensive experience and knowledge of project management. It is an internationally recognised quality mark that will set you apart in the market and allow you to grow further in your career.
During the training, you will learn how to expertly manage and support complex projects, and you will thoroughly prepare for the IPMA C Theory exam.
The training combines theory, reflection, case studies and practical assignments. Homework and mock exams allow you to deepen and practice the material.

- Risk management and project analysis (Earned Value Analysis)
- Budgeting, financing and progress monitoring
- Leadership, team dynamics and communication
- Dealing with conflict
- Planning and planning methods

The IPMA C training prepares you for both the theory exam and the assessment. With case studies, mock exams and reflection on your own project experience, you will build towards a full and recognised certificate.
Who is this training for?
The IPMA C training is suitable for:
- Experienced project managers managing complex projects
- Professionals who want to certify their project management skills
- No specific prior education required for participation and/or the theory exam
- Demonstrable project experience is a requirement for certification
Level & continuation
The IPMA C certification consists of two parts
After the theory exam, you have 18 months to complete the assessment and thus obtain the full certificate:
Theory Test
- Exam duration: 3 hours
- Consists of short case studies and open-ended questions
- Upon successful completion, you will receive a partial certificate (IPMA C theory).
- Theory certificate Valid for 5 years
Assessment
- Submission of a portfolio
- Executive summary and self-assessment
- Collecting feedback from colleagues and clients
- Concluding interview with two assessors
Complete theory exam — receive partial certificate
Time to submit and complete the assessment
Full IPMA C certification obtained
What is expected of you?
In addition to the contact days, the programme also requires your own commitment:
Self-study
In addition to contact hours, you should allow for 30 to 40 hours of self-study to fully process the material and prepare for the exam.
E-learning (optional)
You can request access to an IPMA e-learning platform for 3 months to optimally prepare for the exam.
